JACQUELINE McCALMONT (nee ANDERSON) Jacqueline Jack McCalmont passed away peacefully August 19, 2005 at the Golden Links Lodge in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey and by her brother Jim. She is survived by her brother-in-law, sister-in-law, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack was born in Winnipeg in 1921 and lived all her life in this city. She was quite lucky to have enjoyed her two careers, the first with Eatons and the second with Parks Canada. Jack and Harv loved their cottage at Grand Marais Beach where they were well known for their hospitality. They also loved to take trips out east to visit family and friends. Jack had a well-deserved reputation for her delicious cooking and for both the quality and quantity of her knitting. In later years after her retirement, Jack, like so many other Winnipeggers, loved the sport of bargain shopping . Funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 24 at 11:00 a.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home,1291 McGillivray Blvd. The family very much appreciates the care Jack received from the staff at Golden Links Lodge.
